Two Big Milestones

On December 5, 2011, little Emmeline turned 9 months old. However, Mommy neglected to take any pictures that day, so please consider the following her photos as well...

On December 6, our beautiful boy turned 3 years old. Unbelievable.
We had a birthday party at Nana's house, and we all wore Thomas party hats.

There was cake, with candles.

And Atticus blew them all out!

Then it was time for presents. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for my new train!

Thank you, Aunt Rachel, for this very cool book.

And thank you, Aunt Vicki, for my awesome car carrier/launcher!

Emmeline, meanwhile, spent some quality time getting to know Ollie.

Well, hello puppy!

A walk with Nana

On one of our first cold days, we went over to Nana's and took a nice walk outside.

We got E all bundled up--once she got over the shock she was good with it.

A insisted on wearing Nana's wool hat.

It looks OK here. A little big, but OK...

But it really was way too big. Seeing became a problem!

No matter, we had a great time!

Do you like my hairdo?

Yes, I thought you would.

Does Atticus like...

...Chinese food?

I'd say so!

How about cupcakes?

Most certainly!

Another month...

Another series of high chair photos.

Happy 8 months, my sweet baby girl!

Siblings Playing Happily Together

It doesn't always happen, but they do seem to enjoy each other's company.

Sometimes they even share.

Atticus dotes on his baby sister...

...even if he's not always as gentle as he should be!

She'll never forgive me...

But I couldn't resist. That's some nutritious breast milk!

Happy Halloween

We went with a sort of make-shift theme this year.

Atticus wore his old lederhosen, some knee socks, and Opa's Tyrolean hat: voila, a Von Trapp family singer!

Emmeline wore the fabulous sailor suit that Nana made for Atticus when he was her age, and--presto--she was either a cute sailor girl or a Von Trapp family singer from a different scene in the movie. Your choice!

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving

Finally we got to carve the pumpkins. Thanks goodness Opa was here to lend his artistic skills.

We all helped scoop out the goop.

It was an exciting time for everyone...

..even Emmeline!

The Pumpkin Series

Excited to make a face on it!

I love my pumpkin.

Cheese!

Do I have to let him go?

Pumpkin Picking Time!

The week before Halloween, we all went to a local farm to pick out our pumpkins. There were so many to choose from!

Emmeline supervised from her stroller.

Here's me and Dad, right in the middle of the patch. In case you can't read it, my shirt says "Will Trade Sister for Candy." It's true...I probably would.

And here's Mlom and Emmeline, making sure we picked out good pumpkins.

Finally, on our way out of the store, I saw this apple and decided it was a perfect harvest kind of thing to finish off our fall excursion!
